Rosa Ares

I came to the Jacksonville Jewish Center in August of 2014 to study for conversion.  From the first time I stepped into the building, I knew I liked it! Everybody I came in contact with was so welcoming and it just felt really nice.  To be in a place that you are welcome and feel comfortable, is just an incredible feeling.  I began the Foundations of Judiasm class. I then started to study with the B'nai mitzvah class and Hebrew class as well.  Between my studying, I found time to volunteer on Shabbat as a greeter, and also in the Judaica shop. The Jacksonville Jewish Center is my second home. I am proud to say my conversion is now complete.

The Shapiro Family:

Sandy has been a part of the JJC and its Day School since a very young age celebrating many milestones and making memories along the way. Starting from her own Hebrew baby naming, preschool, Consecration in First Grade, graduating from Solomon Schechter Day School Sixth Grade,  Bat Mitzvah, and Confirmation in High School. It was only natural for her and Craig to have their wedding here as well. Now that they have three children, they have started them on the same path in this home away from home. We hope to see the legacy continue for many generations to come.
