LIFE CYCLE SUPPORT
Jewish tradition teaches us to treasure each day, especially the moments of growth and transition in our lives. Our community considers it a privilege to mark and share important stages in a person’s life and support them in both sadness and joy. At the Jacksonville Jewish Center we take pride in the sensitive and deeply meaningful opportunities for spirituality at Life Cycle events such as:
BABY NAMING OR BRIT MILAH
Celebrate the birth of your baby with a naming ceremony: Brit Milah for a boy or Simhat Bat for a girl. Before these ceremonies, the clergy would love to meet with the soon-to-be and new parents! Please contact our office to schedule a meeting.
The Bar/Bat Mitzvah process is a very special and emotional experience for each family. Hazzan Holzer, our B’nei Mitzvah Coordinator, and the entire staff here at the Jacksonville Jewish Center will ensure that this is a meaningful and personal occasion for your family.
Of the many joys of Jewish life, few moments match the whole-hearted happiness and emotional power of celebrating the marriage of two loving partners under the huppah (the wedding canopy).
Those interested in converting to Judaism are warmly welcomed, respected and honored at the Jacksonville Jewish Center.
Dealing with loss or illness? Our community can provide you with the help you might need during this difficult time.
KEEP US INFORMED
Keep the Life Cycle Team updated on the events in your life and the lives of other community members for which you or they would like community support. To let the whole Jacksonville Jewish Center community know about family events such as a birth, weddings, bar/bat mitzvah, or other significant milestones. Please contact Danielle Berke at 904-292-1000 x115 or email at [email protected] if you have further questions or would like to schedule an appointment with a member of the clergy team.
